Stationary Points
This is all about the stationary points of a curve, and their nature.

What you need to know
The stationary points of a curve are where the gradient = 0
These may be
"Turning Points" where the curve changes direction

or
"Points of Inflection" where the curve halts and then continues in the same direction.
